If you enjoy festivals, the Gold Coast won't let you down. There are a lot of fantastic festivals held on the Gold Coast. Two Gold Coast festivals will be available for you to attend if you're planning a trip in August.
August 11 to 21
The famous contemporary arts festival on the Gold Coast will return from August 11 to August 21, 2022, following its cancellation due to COVID-19 developments the previous year. Don't miss the chance to show your support for the Gold Coast's yearly contemporary art exhibition.
Get ready for the BLEACH* Festival's fascinating lineup of visual arts, live music, dance, performance, and gastronomic events. Witness over 233 artists, 94 performances, and 36 events at the Gold Coast's main hubs.
While the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens feature four evenings of notable outdoor performances, the North Burleigh Hub will present a jam-packed cultural program.
You may anticipate promenade performances, breath-taking BMX and parkour exhibitions, skating fun, electronic music, female-centric storytelling, and short films in Miami, Miami Marketta, and Burleigh Brewing.
Then visit Home of the Arts (HOTA), where artists respond to the pieces exhibited in the current exhibition, before heading west to the hinterland for a series of original performances in the rustically rural sheds of Mudgeeraba.
Crafted Beer and Cider Festival
August 27 and 28
Fans of froth rejoice as the Crafted Beer and Cider Festival is back this 2022. They will be returning to Broadbeach's picturesque Kurrawa Park for not one but two enormous days of bliss.
Now in its sixth year, Crafted Beer and Cider Festival is having a huge party to celebrate, starting with 50 brewers, which will equal almost 300 individual beers! Whether a beer connoisseur or a novice, you'll have access to various festival-only and limited-release beers in addition to the reliable classics from your favourite breweries.
While deciding if an IPA goes best with wings, a juicy stacked burger, or whether cider goes better with arancini or nachos, munch your way through the enormous range of food trucks and gourmet treats. Are you looking for vegan or gluten-free options? There are lots of alternatives to accommodate all dietary needs.
Additionally, a stellar music lineup will keep festival attendees entertained. Sunday at Crafted is for laid-back acoustic and rhythm-infused vibes, while Saturday is for indie rock partygoers.
Sign up for the pre-sale and purchase your tickets as soon as possible because the last two years' tickets sold out more quickly.
